Come join us for an in-studio class featuring the unique balance of “doing” and “un-doing”. This class uses poses done close to the ground, like seated forward folds, hip openers, supine twists, and supported backbends. There is no flow, vinyasa, or standing postures. All poses are held for 3-5 minutes per side with the use of props. Release, recovery, relaxation, surrender, and greater flexibility are the goals. This practice provides the balancing counterpart to our typically “yang” way of life. We’ll quiet the busy mind from the week, release our muscles and shift the nervous system from fight or flight to relaxation. Laura will close the practice with a 15 minute guided meditation.
