It’s been 30 years since I graduated from @unlco It’s been 30 years since I graduated from @unlcojmc and I love that I get to share the amazing things that people do in our state, our country and across the world. Everyday is different. Today started by following a team hunting for an inscription that was seen on a repurposed stone. It was seen over a hundred years ago among a few old houses. We saw traces… but this ‘find’ eluded us. (It seems to me the life of an archeologist, at times.) Other items were uncovered in different areas and the stories of the past will eventually be revealed. #unl #archeology #archeologydig
Digging in the dirt. Remove the dirt. Repeat. It a Digging in the dirt. Remove the dirt. Repeat. It amazes me what these students, volunteers and workers do every day. There is so much to discover and your mind just can’t help wonder what it was like 20 centuries ago. Before I left Lincoln people would always say, “Oooh, I’ve always wanted to do that.” This place is pretty cool with what you can do, see and find. #unl #cojmc #archeology #archeologydig
